Dr. Michelle McKee, ND
Hi, I’m Michelle, also known as Dr. McKee ND —a registered Naturopathic Doctor and I am honoured to be apart of the Rooted in Counselling team.
I’m originally from Lindsay, Ontario, where I had a practice for over 3 years until moving to Muskoka in 2021. My husband and I were drawn to the proximity to nature and all the outdoor activities Muskoka has to offer. Our feisty 2.5 year old son and our OG baby, Rosseau, a golden retriever, love it here too.
As a Naturopathic Doctor, I help patients gain insight into their bodies, provide education on topics like nutrition, gut health, hormones etc. and encourage clients to make small, sustainable changes to improve how they feel now and to decrease disease risk in the future.
In this age of information overload and fad dieting, I make an effort to ensure my recommendations are sustainable, realistic, family-friendly, and evidence-based. Treatment plans are individualized to meet each patient’s needs and goals, factoring in their unique health history.

Naturopathic Medicine takes knowledge, dedication, commitment and integrity. I am devoted to constantly improve ongoing methods, integrating new techniques and constantly improving my skills and techniques.
Education:
Honours of Medical Sciences (BMSc) / Western University
Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine: Doctor of Naturopathy (ND)
Training:
40+ hours of additional cupping therapy (Asian Integrative Medicine Learning)
Prescribing Rights - the ability to prescribe transdermal bio-identical hormone therapy
